The 2014 World Championship, the 21st Magic World Championship, was held on 2–7 December 2014 in Nice, France. The event was held concurrently with the 2014 World Magic Cup. 24 players participated, and the event was won by Israel's Shahar Shenhar, who by defeating Patrick Chapin in the final became both the first player to win two World Championship events, and the first player to successfully defend a World Championship title.

*Although Jared Boettcher finished with more Pro Points than Raymond Perez, Jr. in 2013–14 season, subsequent investigations by DCI confirmed that Boettcher was cheating in multiple events that involved Pro Points, which resulted in a suspension and the revoking of his Rookie of the Year title.[1]
