Acorn counters are a type of resource counter that may be placed on either a player or a permanent depending on its usage.

Description[ | ]

The silver-bordered Acornelia, Fashionable Filcher from Unsanctioned was the first card to feature Acorn counters. They have their own symbol {A}, and may be used as a resource. They are placed on players rather than on objects. Because of this, they are similar to energy counters.

Chitterspitter from Modern Horizons 2 is the first black-border card and first artifact to use acorn counters. It doesn't use the acorn holofoil stamp. Unlike with the previous usage, Chitterspitter places the counters on itself. Acorn counters on a permanent cannot be used for Acornelia so the two types do not interact.[1]

With the release of Alchemy: Bloomburrow, acorn counters returned in the form of Euru, Acorn Scrounger. Euru is tied to the Chitterspitter, allowing additional acorn counters to be placed on it.
