The aetherspark is the prize awarded to the winner of the Ghirapur Grand Prix, a death-defying interplanar circuit race across Kaladesh, Amonkhet and TBA.[1]

Chandra Nalaar competes in the Grand Prix to win the prize for Nissa Revane.[2][3] It is implied to contain a planeswalker's spark.

- The Aetherspark is the first planeswalker with another card type, that being artifact.[4]
- As an Equipment, the Aetherspark is also the first planeswalker card to have a subtype other than a planeswalker type.[4]
- Like the Wanderer, the Aetherspark is a planeswalker with no associated planeswalker type.
