Akira Asahara (浅原晃) is a Japanese professional Magic player.
Professional play[ | ]
He has two Pro Tour top eights, at Worlds 2005 and Worlds 2008, and two Grand Prix wins in ten top eight appearances. He is also known as a rogue deckbuilder. More than a decade later, he reached the Top 8 of Players Tour Series 1 Nagoya, and soon after won the fourth flight of Players Tour Series 2.
Asahara is considered to be one of the "BIG MAGIC ELDERS" of veteran Japanese players (sponsored by Big Magic) that also include Hall of Famer Tsuyoshi Fujita.[1]
