Apatzec Intli IV is the current boy-emperor of the Sun Empire on Ixalan. He has an older sister, Caztaca Huicintli, and an adopted older brother, Atlacan Huicintli.
Description[ | ]
Like his father, Apatzec Intli IV is surrounded by advisors, priests, administrators, and generals that insulate him from much of his empire's day-to-day functioning.[1] Until Intli IV is of age to take the throne for himself, the boy serves as a beloved figurehead, an inspiring sight to much of the Imperial citizenry; his father's death has imbued him with the goodwill of the people, who see him as the embodiment of the Imperial future. The boy-emperor's stewards and advisors now vie for control over the direction of the empire's reconstruction, hoping to use his goodwill to support their goal of war or peace.

Apatzec Intli IV ascended to the throne after the assassination of his father Apatzec Intli III near the end of New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse in 4562 AR.[2] As one of his first acts as Emperor, Intli returned the capital to Orazca.[1]
