Arvinox appears as a creature composed of black mist in the shape of a worm with a large maw of teeth at its front. It appears larger than a house and can leave much destruction in its wake.

- Arvinox was created as the Universes Within version of Mind Flayer, the Shadow from the Secret Lair Drop Series: October Superdrop (2021) which was originally released as a Universes Beyond tie-in with Stranger Things.[1]
- Mind Flayer, the Forgotten Realms creature after which the Stranger Things character was named, received its own card in Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.
