Averru was one of the Numena, ancient beings on the plane of Dominaria.
History[ | ]
During the Fall of the Primevals, Averru trapped the red Primeval Rhammidarigaaz beneath a caldera in Shiv, and in doing so received the dragon's powers.
During the rule of the Numena, Averru participated in killing the white and the green Numena, leaving only himself, Lowallyn, and Kuberr.
Averru was the mightiest of the three remaining Numena. Together, they claimed dominion over the plane for 1,000 years, until the birth of Karona caused the Fall of the Numena. Averru created a spell to resurrect himself as a giant city, later renamed Sanctum, in practice granting himself immortality.
His resurrection used Zagorka as his "mother". He was "killed" by Karona. It is still unknown if he will revive once again.
