Brian Weissman is a former Magic Pro Player.[1] From mid 1994 to 1999, Weissman was among the most recognized and respected professional players of Magic: The Gathering and he appeared on ESPN 2 to provide play by play commentary for a number of Pro Tour top 8 and World Championships broadcasts.
Weissman was an important contributor to Magic theory. In 1996 he created one of the most well-known control decks in early Magic history, commonly known as "The Deck".[2] The Deck functions on the same premise as modern control decks: gradually gaining card advantage while answering opposing threats, then playing a single large threat which is sufficient to win the game.
