{{Creature types|Classes|Classes}}

Revision as of 03:53, 7 May 2021

In Magic, Class is a subset of the characteristic "creature type".[1]

Most humanoid creatures have at least two creature types: race and class. Whereas race (such as Human, Elf, or Goblin) is a matter of genetics, a creature's class (such as Soldier, Wizard, or Rogue) represents their function, occupation, career or calling in life.

Token can have a class without a race, while on cards it is a rare exception to see a creature with only just a class.

Statistically speaking, as of Strixhaven: School of Mages the most common class is Wizard (827), followed by Warrior (815) and then Soldier (703).
