Lifetime Omenpath Era

Coffey is an old ratfolk on the plane of Bloomburrow.

Description[ | ]

Coffey is a wizened elder of the ratfolk, distinguished by his pale gray fur and mismatched eyes — one black, and one red. He moves with a slow, deliberate gait, supported by a snail-handled cane. Despite his frail appearance and gentle wheeze, Coffey commands respect and authority within his community. His primary role is that of a lorekeeper in Bloomburrow, where he and his kin preserve the ancient histories and legends of their land. Coffey is a figure of wisdom and hospitality, showing kindness to Mabel's party after initially perceiving them as a threat. He is deeply knowledgeable about the world’s arcane and historical matters and offers critical assistance to the adventurers by sharing information about their quarry, Cruelclaw.[1]

History[ | ]

Coffey first appeared as a cautious but ultimately benevolent figure, greeting Mabel's party with initial hostility but quickly shifting to offer them hospitality upon learning of their predicament. He provided them with refuge and a warm, comfortable space to rest. Through a magical display, Coffey revealed information about Cruelclaw, a dangerous figure the party was also pursuing, and disclosed that Cruelclaw had stolen a Calamity Beast egg — a crucial and troubling detail. Coffey supported the party’s quest by suggesting they head to Fountainport and informed them of ratfolk scouts who might assist them. His guidance and the shared knowledge proved vital in steering the adventurers toward their next objective.[1]
