Some Magic: The Gathering cards have been banned from sanctioned play due to being deemed culturally offensive in the contemporary perspective.[1] This happened in 2020, in the wake of the George Floyd protests.[2]

The cards show up in Gatherer with the following warning: This card does not meet Magic community standards. It may perpetuate racism, contain harmful stereotypes, or depict a sensitive real‑world event.
