Lifetime Mending Era

Dein Salvasi was a wealthy man in the small village of Lambholt on the plane of Innistrad, known for being pious and influential. He became a central figure in a tragic series of events involving mysterious deaths and disappearances, which were linked to a creature known as Old Stickfingers.

History[ | ]

Dein Salvasi's story begins with the mysterious disappearance of a farmer named Arinos, who had been arguing with Salvasi. Arinos was suspected of being murdered due to this conflict. Shortly thereafter, travelers and locals, including a shepherdess named Lakil, were found dead under strange circumstances, heightening the village's fear and suspicion.

Salvasi, amidst these dark happenings, called for the help of Rem Karolus, an inquisitor known for his monster-slaying abilities, suspecting werewolves or worse. Simultaneously, the village's council called for Vadrik, an archmage from Nephalia, to investigate the supernatural occurrences.

As Vadrik and Rem investigated the gruesome murders, they discovered a werewolf among the victims but soon realized the true threat was Old Stickfingers, a fearsome guardian spirit. Their confrontation with the creature revealed that Arinos had summoned Stickfingers to save his farm from Salvasi, who had been threatening to take it due to debt. However, the summoning went awry, leading to widespread death and terror.

Old Stickfingers attacked Vadrik and Rem but the pair temporarily drove it away. Through further investigation, Vadrik uncovered that Stickfingers had been summoned by a ritual involving a mobile made of twigs and bark. Vadrik destroyed the mobile and let Arinos's daughter Ariosa finish the ritual, effectively dispelling the threat of Old Stickfingers from the village. [1]
