- Not to be confused with Descend.
Descent counters are a type of counter introduced in Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate. They represent an increasing effect each turn due to a thematic descent.
Description[ | ]
Descent counters first appeared on Descent into Avernus in Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate. Each turn 2 of the counters are added to the enchantment and then each player gets Treasure tokens equal to the number of counters on it as well as takes that amount of damage as well. The counters represent the increasing danger of traveling into Avernus but also the increasing reward in the form of Treasure.
Trivia[ | ]
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as it's considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Collection, Fetch, Invitation, Oil, Mire, Slime and Soot counters.[1]
