The Discovery of Argoth was an event that occurred in 55 AR.
Description[ | ]
The ornithopter of a twenty-six-year-old Harbin, son of Urza, was driven from the shores of Korlis by a raging thunderstorm, which forced him out to sea, flying for three days without rest. He landed roughly on the beach of Argoth and collapsed. He and his craft were spotted by Gwenna, who according to Titania's law, should send word to Citanul and watch him until an elder arrived.
Although Harbin had no ill intentions toward the island, he needed to replace a broken spur for his thopter. He marked a sapling in the forest and walked to get a rope to haul it away, but Gwenna knew that if he cut the tree down, he would be killed by the Argothians. So she found a dead sapling of similar size and type and pulled it into the clearing in front of the marked tree. When Harbin returned and saw a fitting tree already felled, he instead used the fallen wood for the thopter spur, sparing the marked sapling. Having fixed the thopter, Harbin took off the next morning, to Gwenna's surprise. When the elder from Citanul arrived, Gwenna told them that Harbin had not killed any trees before he escaped. The elder then concurred it was right to let the young man leave, but Gwenna was left with a feeling that she had done something she should not have. She had no idea how right she would be.
