Exava is the leader of the bloodwitches of the Cult of Rakdos and an enemy of Emmara Tandris.[1]

Description[ | ]

Exava is the former acting leader for the Defiler. She acted as maze runner for the guild.

She is a tall, muscular woman, wearing an immense and elaborate mask decorated with two sets of genuine demon horns. A tight bodice accentuates her large chest and bare midriff. She wears thigh-high boots and a wide belt from which hang numerous iron spikes, all bloodstained.

History[ | ]

In the War of the Spark, Rakdos initially was not cooperating at all with the anti-Bolas efforts because Hekara, his emissary, was killed.[2][3] Kaya's group was going around to every non-cooperating guild to convince them to help out in Niv-Mizzet's plan of becoming the new guildpact. Rakdos still refused to cooperate with the plan, but Hekara's corpse was brought back by Tomik and she was revived as a bloodwitch. Hekara said that she would help Kaya's group. Exava tried to object but lost to Hekara in a fight. Rakdos didn't say anything but did not actively prevent Hekara from leaving.

After the War, Jace Beleren and Chandra Nalaar sought a confrontation with Exava, because Jace needed someone that he could mind read without feeling guilty. After defeating her, they found out about the new Living Guildpact's order to kill Liliana Vess.[4] Not long after, Rakdos replaced Exava with Hekara as his official representative.
