Fannessa was initially seen giving Killian Lu an empathetic smile during a violent match against Razineth, providing a brief moment of solidarity. Later, she encountered Killian on a boat and engaged in a probing conversation, revealing her interest in his abilities and the harshness of their training. Fannessa then offered Killian a drink, which suppressed his guilt and enhanced his aggression during a duel with Vickus. She watched the duel with devilish delight, urging Killian to embrace a more ruthless approach, wanting him to kill Vickus. After the duel, Fannessa confronted Killian in the bathroom, revealing her true identity as an Oriq agent and attempting to recruit him. She manipulated him with Oriq magic, trying to convince him to join their cause. When Killian refused, she attacked him, but he ultimately repelled her with his light magic, infusing her with mercy.
