Glass is a test card-only and token-only artifact creature type used to represent artifact creatures that are made of an often-transparent amorphous non-crystalline solid. Thus far it has always been combined with the Stained type.

Stained debuted as a creature type in 2023 as part of a Unknown Event test card at the 2023 Barcelona Unknown Event. It debuted on Sagrada Familiar, which is a wall that creates Stained Glass tokens. It was inspired by the Sagrada Família basilica in Barcelona and the Familiar cycle in Planeshift.
