Hoofprint counter are a type of counter introduced in Lorwyn. They act as a resource for an enchantment's ability.
Description[ | ]
Hoofprint counters first appeared on Hoofprints of the Stag in Lorwyn. It has since been reprinted in various Commander decks as well including Commander 2016, Commander 2020, and New Capenna Commander. It is an enchantment that has a Hoofprint counter placed on each time a card is drawn by the player. The counters then act as an additional resource for an ability to create a Flying Elemental creature token by removing 4 of the counters from it.

- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and it shares an icon with Egg, Hatchling, Incarnation, Prey and Shell counters.[1]
