Tomakul Campaign In the Oubliette Fall of Terisia City

During the Tomakul Campaign, Tawnos was surrounded by enemy troops and captured. He was brought to Tomakul and put in the Oubliette, a Fallaji design prison cell that opens only from the top.

History[ | ]

Here, he was locked in manacles, kept company only by the bare skull of its previous occupant. Ashnod was sent by Mishra to torture him, so she showed up with a guard who could not speak Argivian and locked one of Tawnos' hands in a small rack. This device sent a current through his body, but she used it only each time a guard passed by to keep up appearances, then she slipped him her powerstone earrings and the wire needed for him to fashion his own Staff of Zegon, using the cell's skull.[1]

When Tawnos used his makeshift staff to drain the guards' strength collect the key to his cell and climb out, Mishra summoned Ashnod to his throne room. The Brotherhood of Gix had whispered in his ears, and he had learned that Ashnod was at fault for the prisoner's escape. Although she lied, denying everything, he did not believe her and banished her from any lands belonging to the Fallaji Empire. If she were ever to be seen in Fallaji territories again, anyone would have the right to execute her immediately. Ashnod left, taking a horse west to Terisia City. The Brotherhood of Gix whispered in Mishra's ear, and he set his sights on that very city for his next campaign.[1]
