Jakub Šlemr is a Czech former professional player and World Champion. He was one of the best players in the late 90s; his greatest accomplishment was winning the 1997 World Championship. He continued to play on the Pro Tour until the early 2000s, making a total of three Pro Tour top eight appearances, as well as four Grand Prix top eights, winning one. His last Pro Tour to date was PT Prague 2006, for which he received a special invitation.[1]
