Jarin was the war chief of the Ghestos tribe of the Fallaji Empire under Mishra.
History[ | ]
Jarin, while a capable tactician, did not trust Ashnod because she was a woman, and with red hair besides. During Ashnod's campaign into Korlis, Jarin disobeyed her direct orders, claiming he did not see the signal flag. This resulted in the Ambush in the Kher Ridges being a complete loss for Mishra, with all of Ashnod's transmogrants lost to the enemy's clay statues and Yotian soldiers.[1]
