Description[ | ]
“The worthy shall cultivate a nimble mind to perceive the glorious wonders that await them.”
— Monument Inscription
Kefnet's Monument is a large stone monument adorned with intricate hieroglyphs and symbols located in the Desert of the Mindful in the city of Naktamun on the plane of Amonkhet. It is located on top of a cliff where waterfalls flow into a lake at the monument's base. The Trial of Knowledge used to take place within the monument. When one entered, a vast labyrinth of water and illusion extended before them. The maze defied reality and was filled with threats like illusory horrors, traps, and false doors — all curated to play on the fears of the individual initiates. Not only must the initiates navigate the labyrinth of terror, but they must also realize the glyphs on the walls hold the key to passing the trial: a spell that will reveal the true exit. Without this spell, they will drown in the final room. The truly wise initiates will feel barely a drop of water.[1] With the death of Kefnet in the War of the Spark it is unknown if the monument still functions or is now just a true monument for the dead god.
