Kiyomaro (KEE-yoh-MAH-roh;[1] kiyo 清ら "pure" or "clean" + maro まろ male suffix)[2][3] First to Stand, is a kami on Kamigawa that was once a human.
Description[ | ]
Kiyomaro has retained most of his human shape, appearing as an elderly man with his long daimyo robes and long, white hair and beard. His kami aspects are visible in that his body is suffused with glowing light. His robes ripple in an unseen wind, and glowing lanterns float about his head, while an elaborate horned headpiece evokes a sense of crowned glory.[4]
History[ | ]
Kiyomaro was the first human on Kamigawa to become a daimyo. He was so revered by his people that his spirit became a kami. His descendants were still active during the Kami War.
