Lightning Magic was a variant set of game rules published in 1995 by Wizards of the Coast as a sample for the Portal set. It was described as a "fast, easy-to-learn version of the game". The game used special mini-decks made up of 12 cards each from Portal, and the object of the game was to reduce your opponent's score from 5 to 0.
