Lonis is a Simic snake elf scout, detective, and cryptozoologist from Ravnica.
History[ | ]
From a young age, Lonis always believed that strange, mysterious creatures dwelled in Ravnica, out of sight of everyday life: the noxbur shroom, the owlipedosaur, the lamplight crab.[1] Years of research and exploration have yielded nothing, but he remains undaunted. Others might mock him and consider his research a joke, but Lonis believes that as long as he has patience and persists, one day he'll uncover the truth.
Lonis's research took an exciting turn with the discovery of fragments of never-before-seen genetic material found on an exploration into the Risen Undercity.[2] Convinced it belongs to the fabled winnoram, Lonis has been devoting all his time to unraveling the fragments' secrets and finding clues as to the history of Ravnica's lost creatures.
