Markos was a human soldier from Kroog during the time of the Brothers' War.

Description[]

Lieutenant Markos was a young, battle-hardened soldier thrust into a leadership role during the siege of Kroog. He was marked by his heavy armor, which bore the scars of intense combat, and his commanding presence, evident in the urgency of his orders and the gravity of his decisions. Despite being notably younger than many of his peers, his experience in battle had forged him into a resilient and determined leader. His strategic mind and commitment to holding the line against overwhelming odds were evident in his actions, however futile they were.[2]

History[]

Lieutenant Markos fought on Kroog's side during the catastrophic siege of the city. As the city was engulfed in flames and chaos, Markos took charge of a strategic barricade in an abandoned market plaza, which was designated as a defensive stronghold against the encroaching Fallaji forces. Markos's leadership was crucial in organizing the remaining Yotian soldiers and preparing for the Fallaji assault. Despite the dire situation and the overwhelming number of casualties among both soldiers and civilians, he managed to coordinate a defensive effort that included stockpiling firebombs and other supplies for a counterattack.[2]

When Sanwell and the other pilots, including Rica and Carlo, arrived at the plaza, they were introduced to Markos by their commander, Llora. Markos, though visibly worn from battle, was focused on the defense and hopeful that the presence of the Avengers might turn the tide.

The plaza was soon subjected to heavy bombardment and a vicious attack by the Fallaji, including a devastating assault by Mishra's dragon engine, Traxos. As the battle intensified, Markos's barricade was eventually overrun. Despite his efforts to hold the line and direct his troops, the dragon engine's destructive power proved too overwhelming. In a catastrophic turn, the dragon engine’s attack obliterated the barricade and incinerated many of the defenders, including Lieutenant Markos.[2]
