Marvin is a quickened toy from Duskmourn.
Description[ | ]
Marvin has a large, wooden head with a toothy mouth, large spectacle-like eyes, and thin wisps of hair from a wooden scalp. Its hands are chunky and clawed, and it wears a white robe with a large ruff collar. It wields a large serrated saber, and its strings are still attached, although they dangle loosely in the air.[1]
History[ | ]
In a moment of bloodthirsty whimsy, a razorkin once picked up a ventriloquist’s puppet and used it to terrorize a survivor, only to receive a nasty surprise when the puppet quickened, its dormant seed of life nudged awake with the razorkin's unwitting aid.[2] The first thing Marvin did was turn around, grab the razorkin's machete, and hack the razorkin into pieces. Marvin can absorb the personality and skills of any being by incorporating a body part from that creature into itself, an ability displayed most prominently with its teeth: a complete set assembled one tooth at a time from razorkin, survivors, and cultists alike. It has a special fondness for its very first tooth, taken from the razorkin that helped quicken it to life. Its ultimate goal is to "taste" every single entity in the House, including Valgavoth himself.
