Matatios is a human known to have met himself after falling in love with his reflection in a lake.

History[ | ]

According to Perisophia, Matatios's overwhelming infatuation with himself caused his reflection to manifest wholly. It appears the story was not happy, as Perisophia used it to teach her students the power of one's mind and intention. Matatios did not become aware of himself or his own identity, he only met himself as a physical reflection. Matatios was just as ignorant after meeting himself as he was before, and the meeting taught him little about his identity.

Inspiration[ | ]

The story of Matatios is inspired by the Greek story of Narcissus, who also fell in love with his reflection, which is the origin of the term narcissism.
