Nakht was a young aven wizard from Naktamun on the plane of Amonkhet, and a potential initiate of Tah crop. He was friends with Samut and Djeru
History[ | ]
Nakht, Samut and Djeru grew up together and were fated to become initiates of the Tah crop together. When they were all twelve years old, Nakht revealed that he was a wizard and had an affinity for manipulating water. Djeru showed the others a hole in the Hekma, and they wandered out into the desert outside, where they witnessed a Grim Strider, an incredibly tall and strange horror. They hid in some ancient ruins that named Nicol Bolas a trespasser and were attacked by a swarm of zombies.
Nakht flew up out of the ruin and lured the horde of undead towards him, allowing Djeru and Samut to escape back towards Naktamun. But before he could fly after them, the Grim Strider froze him in place with its cold gaze. The horror walked up to Nakht and put its impossibly long limb on him, draining him of life and leaving him a soulless husk to join the zombie horde. Samut and Djeru were both traumatized by this, but handled it in different ways, with disillusion and god-fervor, respectively.
