oracle:"Pin counter"

Pin counters are a type of counter introduced in Legends. They act as upkeep trackers representing pins of a voodoo doll.

Description[ | ]

Pin counters first appeared on Voodoo Doll in Fallen Empires as unnamed counters before they were given errata to be Pin counters. It is an artifact that gets a Pin counter for each upkeep and has an activated ability that costs double the number of counters for its mana cost to deal damage equal to the number of the counters. If the artifact is not tapped at the player's end step then it is sacrificed along with dealing damage to the player equal to the number of counters. This represents the player putting pins into a Voodoo doll along with it being cursed forcing the player to continue using it or it turns on them.
