The Premium Deck Series was a series of preconstructed theme decks. In total, three Premium Deck Series products were developed and released by Wizards of the Coast. The series was discontinued due to a lack of interest and profitability; Head Magic Designer Mark Rosewater stated that, "not enough of you loved it".[1]

Description

Cards appearing in the decks of the Premium Deck Series were from Legacy-legal expansions and sets, and are printed in the modern, post-8th Edition card frame with a black border and holographic foil treatment.

Each Premium Deck Series deck contained a 60-card deck, with all of the cards being premiums/holographic foils; a unique spindown life counter; a foil deck box; a strategy insert; and a Magic "learn to play" guide.
