Raccoon is a creature type for cards that depict small, gray, nocturnal omnivores that have a black mask and a bushy ringed tail.

History[ | ]

The type first appeared in Unstable on Squirrel Dealer, and later appeared on non-acorn cards starting in Streets of New Capenna. Bloomburrow was the first set to feature Raccoon-typal.[1]

Storyline[ | ]

Bloomburrow[ | ]

Raccoons are one of the animalfolk of Bloomburrow, known for their love for trash and proficiency with improvised weapons. They are free-spirited wanderers, collectors, and entertainers. Rather than settling down in Three Tree City or elsewhere, raccoonfolk spend their life on the move, acquiring a hoard of objects along the way.[2]

At their best, raccoonfolk are strong-willed, adventurous, and entertaining. At their worst, they are scatterbrained, solitary, and impulsive.[3]

Capenna[ | ]

Many raccoonfolk live in New Capenna as bandits. The feral ones still live outside the metropolis, in Old Capenna.[4]
