The Rag Man was a minion created by Lord Ith during The Dark Age on Dominaria.[1]
History[ | ]
When Ith was imprisoned by his apprentice Mairsil, he summoned the Rag Man, who led Jodah to the Conclave of Mages. Jodah freed the old mage, only to see Ith, who had been driven insane, go into a murderous rampage that resulted in the death of Mairsil and the Rag Man, and the Fall of the Conclave of Mages. In the end, Jodah managed to make Ith come to his senses. The artificer Barl, who had devised the cage that had held Ith, was turned into Ith's new Rag Man.
Trivia[ | ]
- When first printed in The Dark, Rag Man had the unique Creature type of Rag-Man. This was given errata in Seventh Edition to be Minion, and later further given errata in Oracle to include Human.
