Reveal lands are a cycle of allied color taplands introduced in Shadows over Innistrad[1][2] and enemy color taplands added in Strixhaven: School of Mages. They enter play tapped unless you reveal a basic land type that could produce either color of mana that the reveal land could produce.

Nicknames include: hand lands, show lands, flex lands, shadow lands, and snarl lands.

Examples[ | ]

Example

Port Town
Land
As Port Town enters the battlefield, you may reveal a Plains or Island card from your hand. If you don't, Port Town enters the battlefield tapped.
{T}: Add {W} or {U}.

Notes[ | ]

  • Reveal lands work with nonbasic lands that have basic land types.
  • Reveal lands work similarly to the tribal taplands.
