Rica was a human avenger pilot from Kroog during the time of the Brothers' War, who survived the Fall of Kroog.

Rica was a composed and stoic individual, standing solidly beside his comrades even in the face of chaos and danger. His demeanor was likened to the red bricks of Kroog, unwavering and resilient. Unlike his more expressive peers, Rica's calm and steady nature provided a grounding presence during the tumultuous events unfolding in Kroog.[1]
History[]
On a fateful morning in 28 AR, as Kroog faced an invasion by Mishra's forces, Rica stood alongside other cadet pilots under the stern guidance of their instructor, Llora. The cadets, including Rica, were urgently promoted to full pilots to command new sword-pattern avengers in the city's defense. Amidst the chaos of the city's evacuation and the ensuing battle, Rica and his fellow pilots were tasked with countering the advancing dragon engines.[1]
As they reached the northern district, the devastation intensified. They found themselves in an abandoned market plaza, now a temporary defense point for Yotian soldiers. The arrival of the dragon engine Traxos, a massive, mechanized war machine, signaled the severity of the assault. Llora instructed the pilots to flank the engine, but the mission quickly turned desperate. The Fallaji army, led by Mishra, advanced relentlessly, and despite the valiant efforts of the Yotian avengers, their defenses crumbled. The overwhelming power of the dragon engine and the relentless Fallaji assault led to catastrophic losses. Llora and the soldiers at the barricade were incinerated, and the Avengers, including Sword Two and Three, were destroyed despite their efforts.[1]
With the city in flames and their comrades dead or missing, Rica, Sanwell, and a panicked Carlo were left in a dire situation. They attempted to escape the chaos, but Carlo was killed by Fallaji soldiers. In the face of certain death, Sanwell ordered Sword One to continue fighting, even as he and Rica fled the city, abandoning the avenger's control rod in despair.[1]
