Rise of the Mana Wraith is a cancelled computer roleplaying game, intended to follow up on the story of the Planeswalker War comic, also cancelled.[1]
Description[ | ]
Intended as a PC RPG sequel to the Planeswalker War (comic), Mana Wraith was even less developed than that comic when the plug was pulled, but Jeff Gomez was able to share with Squirle some ideas from the game's plot. Taking place 7 years after the Planeswalker War, Corondor is still in terrible shape thanks to the explosion of the Grey Chime. Strange weather conditions and blood-red skies prevent crops from growing, and cults and barbarian raiders have risen in this post-apocalyptic setting. The chieftain of the Darkling Plains has a demand - he wants Jared Carthalion to give up on being the Elder Druid and become a planeswalker again, so he can use his godlike powers to heal the land. The continued conflict between Geyadrone Dihada and Dakkon Blackblade would also be featured, and Kristina of the Woods would also become a planeswalker again to defeat the being known only as the Mana Wraith. Jared, growing in his role as Elder Druid, ends up with a new quest to bring planetary unity.[1]
