Sarinth
Information
Plane Dominaria
Part of Terisiare
Status Fallen

Sarinth was a peaceful region near Ronom Lake on Dominaria threatened by Brothers' War.

Description[]

Oil and forests were found in Sarinth, which is what gave it its strategic value in the conflict. A famous battle where a handful of pikemen held off a trio of Craw Wurms was fought there.[1]

The symbol of Sarinth was an ankh.[2]

History[]

Sarinth was conquered by Mishra's forces around 44 AR; the rebels were successful in holding out against the Fallaji armies until Ashnod arrived. Its people pacified, Sarinth was forced to send soldiers to the frontlines of the war outside Tomakul.[3]

Around 55 AR, the Sarinthian people began to rebel against their Fallaji captors, starting a revolution to overthrow Mishra's tyranny. This rebellion lasted for years.[2]

By the end of the war, Sarinth had become a wreckage. The great city that had resisted Mishra had been destroyed for its sin. Most of the great forests of that land had been later lumbered and its mountains stripped to feed the war machines of the brothers' battles. Now it was a barren landscape, its soil runneled and ravined by eternal rain. What forests that survived were overrun by a tangle of briars and young trees.[4]

A few centuries later, a new Sarinth had been built over the ruins of the old one. It was known as a place of brothels during the Dark Age, one of whose clients was the shapeshifter Isak Glen'Dard.[5]

Later maps show that this second Sarinth later fell to the wandering of Ronom Glacier as it drew south during the Ice Age.
