Sarraza, or the Sarazzan Mount is a mountain in the Borderlands, part of the Terisian Isles on Dominaria.
History[]
Historically, Sarraza was part of the mainland Terisiare. In 35 AR, the songmage Samor bound the cockatrice called the Beast of the Hours beneath the mountain. He then discovered the hidden valley of the Chimes behind the mountain, and used the magic of its great chimes to create a spell that would banish the beast.[1]
The Sarrazan River also flowed through this land, later forming the basis of a River Kingdom.
Although Sarraza survived through the Ice Age, on the border of the Great Glacier but not crushed beneath it, it became cut off from the rest of Almaaz by the flooding of the Thaw. In modern times, the Borderlands including Sarraza and the River Kingdom, form a separate, smaller island southwest of Almaaz.
