Satsuki, the Living Lore, is a Human Druid of Kamigawa.
History[ | ]
Satsuki is a member of the Living Historians a thousand years after its creation. She and the group fear that the past is in danger of being forgotten or quietly erased, so they endeavor to preserve it by recording events as faithfully as they can without bias or omission. They tattoo these stories onto their skin and bring them to life through dance, theater, and song. Satsuki herself dresses in a kimono designed with a dragon and warrior to use during her performances. When she performs, the tattoos magically rise into the air as moving illustrations of historical events. Although her training instructs her to erase any personal biases, some argue that the very nature of the art means they inherently inject their perspectives into their work.[1] She once commented that "the trees keep our history better than any digital device" in regards to the Kodama.
