The Inside an Elevator Superdrop is a superdrop in the Secret Lair product range and a continuation of the alternate art Secret Lair Drop Series. It became available for purchase from the Wizards of the Coast webshop secretlair.wizards.com on July 29, 2024.[2]
Description[ | ]
This superdrop features three drops created in cooperation with Los Angeles-based creative collective "Brain Dead".[3] With its disruptive, graphic-led approach, the brand takes its cues from post-punk, underground comics, and the spirit of subculture as a whole. Earlier, a retro frame alternate art Diabolic Tutor "Secret Lair Promo" had been distributed by Brain Dead at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con.[4] A Magic: the Gathering 30th Anniversary Collection of T-shirts, dice and playmats was released by Brain Dead on November 1, 2022.[5][6]
This superdrop also features two Universes Beyond drops based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail.[7] Notice that card #1677 seems to have been removed from these drops. After an hour of availability, the Monthy Python Lairs were sold out.
For the Featured series Wizards of the Coast invited creator, writer, and artist of the Diamond Gem Award–winning series Head Lopper, Andrew MacLean.
