The Walking Dead is an upcoming drop of cards in the Secret Lair product range and a continuation of the Secret Lair Drop Series.[2] It is also part of the Universes Beyond product line. The release date hasn't been revealed yet.

Description

This set is a tie-in with the 2016 American science fiction horror Netflix series. Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the early 1980s. The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory ostensibly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy, but secretly does experiments into the paranormal and supernatural, including those that involve human test subjects. Inadvertently, they have created a portal to an alternate dimension, "the Upside Down". The influence of the Upside Down affects the unknowing residents of Hawkins in calamitous ways.

In June 2021, the statement above was amended for Secret Lairs. It was announced that for upcoming Universes Beyond Secret Lairs,

In-multiverse reprints

Wizards of the Coast will create and print in-multiverse versions of the Stranger Things cards, approximately six months after the release of the Secret Lair.[3] These will become available as part of The List, findable in Set Boosters for as long as players are still interested in opening them. The non-canon cards and the canon cards will be considered as equivalent game pieces, meaning you can only play four copies (or one copy) of either the Magic version or Universes Beyond version in your deck. There will be a special card treatment that indicates that the cards are related.[4]
