Seven was an oak treefolk from the Ulvenwald in Kessig on Innistrad, the seventh symbiotic host of the dryad planeswalker Wrenn. It was eventually killed by the compleated Nissa Revane, and replaced by Eight.

Description[ | ]

Seven appeared as a towering and majestic oak tree, distinctive among the others in the wood. Its branches spread wide, adorned with healthy green leaves that rustled gently in the breeze. Wrenn, the dryad, was drawn to Seven with an almost reverent awe, her demeanor a mix of weariness and determination. Seven exuded a serene wisdom, communicated through its quiet presence and the subtle movements of its branches. It seemed to possess an ancient knowledge, rooted in the very essence of the forest itself. When Wrenn interacted with Seven, it was clear that their bond transcended mere companionship, hinting at a profound symbiosis between dryad and tree.

History[ | ]

Initially appearing as a regular tree among many, Seven revealed its true nature when Wrenn approached it. After some time warping magic by Teferi Akosa, Seven matured into a healthy fully-grown tree. It allowed Wrenn to merge with it, disappearing into its trunk as if merging with the essence of the forest. Later, Seven facilitated communication between Wrenn and Teferi. Its actions were always deliberate, rooted in a purpose that aligned with the harmony of the natural world.[1]

During the Phyrexian invasion of the Multiverse, a compleated Nissa, corrupted by Phyrexian influence, confronted Wrenn and Seven. Her once-green magic now tainted by Phyrexian technology, Nissa attacked with savage brutality. She directed her fury towards Wrenn and Seven, intent on causing harm.

During the confrontation, Nissa's assault was relentless and vicious. She used her enhanced abilities to tear Seven from limb to limb, inflicting grievous injuries. The once-loyal construct was unable to defend itself adequately against Nissa's onslaught. Wrenn, witnessing the brutal attack, was also harmed in the chaos. As a result of Nissa's ferocious assault, Seven succumbed to its injuries, leaving Wrenn without a host.[2]
