Shevara was a scout and warrior of the Rotrue elves on Duskmourn.[1][2]

Shevara was the daughter of the king of the Rotrue Wood and a vigilant protector of the last free forest in a world devoured by an ever-growing monstrosity known as House.[1] Once a simple dwelling, House had transformed into a sprawling, predatory entity that consumed everything in its path, including the greater sun, plunging the world into eternal twilight. Tasked with watching for signs of House’s encroachment, Shevara one day spotted ominous, unaccompanied human children playing in the woods — a certain sign that House had finally reached their sanctuary.
Despite her warnings, her people were slow to believe her, and by the time they recognized the threat, it was too late.[1] House enveloped the Rotrue, ensnaring the elves and their forest within its sinister walls. As the forest was sealed in a glass conservatory, Shevara realized that the last bastion of the natural world had fallen, leaving House to reign unchecked.
