Shingol was a fishing village on the west coast of Terisiare during the Dark Age of Dominaria. It lay north of Iwset, toward Eln Forest, a week's travel from Urhaalan Valley. Bordering the Ilesemare Sea, Shingol's inhabitants subsisted on the tough and finny leer fish, but the cooling climate during the period eventually drove the leer fish to migrate south, leaving Shingol destitute. To survive, they started spending back-breaking hours using deep-sea nets to pull inn less worthy fish.[1]
Yunnie and his foster siter Essa were from Shingol, and the Sigil of Iwset was found in their house, under the floorboards of Yunnie's old room.[1]
