Space Opera is the working title for the upcoming Magic: The Gathering set codenamed "Volleyball". It is the 105th Magic expansion and is expected to be released in Q3, 2025.[1]
Set details[ | ]
The story of the set is located in outer space and is top-down inspired by space opera.[2] It will feature aliens.[3] The set was first teased during the August 2023 Announcement Day panel at Gen Con Indiana.[1]

The set marks the beginning of the third and final story arc of the Metronome storyline.
