Sruta was a craftsperson from Innistrad who is partially responsible for the return of the angel Liesa.

Sruta was a quiet, skilled craftsperson, knowledgeable in various rites and rituals. She was a member of a small group of people who, led by Olutio and including Algli, attempted to summon the Buried Lord to protect them from the dangers of Innistrad. Sruta was practical and sharp, but quick to lose faith when their final ritual failed.[1]

Sruta participated in the final ritual to summon the Buried Lord, along with Algli and Olutio. When the ritual appeared to fail, she expressed her frustration and disillusionment by calling Olutio and Algli fools for their persistent but fruitless efforts. She then left the clearing in frustration.
Later, Sruta was found by Algli and the archangel Liesa, being attacked by the Buried Lord. She tried to defend herself, striking at the demon, but ultimately fell victim to his insatiable hunger. The Buried Lord killed and consumed Sruta, which briefly cleared his mind and strengthened him for the ensuing battle against Liesa.[1]
