Storage counters are used by storage lands to store surplus mana for use in later turns.
Storage lands[ | ]
Originally, City of Shadows from The Dark used counters. It was given errata to use storage counters. It is the first land to use storage counters.
Later Crucible of the Spirit Dragon from Fate Reforged and Mage-Ring Network from Magic Origins were added to the list.

Three cycles of storage lands were printed:
- Fallen Empires
- Mercadian Masques
- Time Spiral
Trivia[ | ]
- In Magic Online, the counter is colored green as its considered a positive effect and shares its icon with Magnet, Mine, Mining, Ore, Pressure, Silver, Trap, and Winch counters.[1]
