Streak is a wolf characterized by his exceptional speed and a distinctive white line along his flank, which led Arlinn to name him thus. As the fastest in Arlinn’s pack, he plays a significant role in their explorations and hunts, displaying loyalty and eagerness to assist. [1]
History[ | ]
Streak was the first to follow Arlinn’s directive to fan out and investigate their surroundings, showcasing his swift responsiveness and dedication to the pack's goals.[1]
When Arlinn encountered Tovolar, an influential and imposing werewolf, Streak's actions took on a darker tone. Tovolar commanded a new, aggressive pack and sought to dominate the woods and nights of Innistrad. Streak, along with the other wolves in Arlinn's pack, showed a disturbing allegiance to Tovolar. This shift was evident when Tovolar petted Streak, and Streak obediently followed Tovolar’s orders, demonstrating his loyalty to the stronger presence.[2]
Arlinn tried to challenge Tovolar, but found her pack, including Streak, turning against her desires to maintain peace. Streak, alongside Boulder and Redtooth, growled and bared his teeth at Arlinn, showing their support for Tovolar's violent ambitions. This betrayal deeply affected Arlinn, highlighting the internal conflict between her human desire for peace and the wolves' instinct to hunt and dominate.[3]
Ultimately, Streak's actions reflected the broader struggle between the wolf’s instinctual drives and the human values of compassion and community. His loyalty shifted based on the dominant presence, showcasing the volatile nature of werewolves in Innistrad and the challenges Arlinn faced in leading a pack torn between two worlds. So when Arlinn turned out to be the stronger werewolf in the end, Streak rejoined her side.[4]
