First up, here are some things you can expect:[ | ]
- five mana costs, using existing mana symbols, that we’ve never used before — Alternate Hybrid symbols (e.g. Evelyn, the Covetous: )
- a spell that costs — Shadow of Mortality
- a mechanic we’ve tried to get in numerous sets finally finds a home — Alliance ("Creaturefall")
- a creature type theme for a draft archetype that’s never been used before — Citizens in W/G
- a red creature that can make token copies of creatures you control — Jaxis, the Troublemaker
- a card that adds — Meeting of the Five
- a mechanic which first premiered in a Standard-legal set in the 00’s sees a return to Standard — Hideaway
- a card that makes Cat and Dog tokens — Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second
- a draft theme caring about a threshold in the graveyard we haven’t cared about before — Five or more Mana values (i.e., Snooping Newsie, Graveyard Shift)
- multiple white cards capable of drawing a card each turn — Halo Fountain, Rumor Gatherer, Sanctuary Warden, Sky Crier

- There's the first ever legendary creature of a creature type people have been asking us to make for years — Syrix, Carrier of the Flame (Phoenix)
- There's a card that mechanically fits in with a weird cycle of cards from Invasion block — Make an Example (with the incomplete cycle of Fact or Fiction)
- There's a new twist on a cycle that originally appeared in a previous Commander product — Confluences (Brokers Confluence, Cabaretti Confluence, Maestros Confluence, Obscura Confluence, Riveteers Confluence)
- There's a noncreature card which has three instances of "three" - the word - and three instances of 3 - the number - printed on it — Threefold Signal
- There's a card which begins, "At the beginning of your upkeep, each opponent chooses money, friends, or secrets..." — Master of Ceremonies
- There's a legendary creature which cares about three different creature types that have never been batched together... until now! — Mari, the Killing Quill (Assassin, Mercenary, and Rogue)
- There's a sorcery with only 8 words of rules text — Damning Verdict
- There are TONS of returning one-of mechanics, including one I never thought we'd see again — (Cipher[3])
