Tales from the Mana Crypt is a panel Magic: The Gathering webcomic in the style of a syndicated newspaper Sunday. It is written by Eric Oh and drawn by Tristan Sito of Manga Book Club. The comics are regularly reposted to Reddit and were briefly a regular series on Star City Games.
History[]
Tales from the Mana Crypt was first published in February 2022 by Eric and Tristan, after publishing some custom tokens to celebrate the release of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.[1][2] The one-shot jokes, detailed illustration and humor quickly gained a significant following on Reddit. Eric and Tristan have explained that they started the comic to put out the kind of fan-art that they wanted more of in the Magic space.[3]
The comic scored a regular feature on Star City Games just two months after its launched.[4] The partnership ended only four months later.
